Women power is not only the word but the cornerstone of society. When a woman is strong, not only the family, but the whole society moves towards progress. The Government of Madhya Pradesh is determined for the all -round development and empowerment of women. I believe that the empowerment of women is to give women their rights, opportunities and equality so that they can take decisions independently, showing their full potential in the society family. The empowerment of women, their education, their health, political and economic opportunities, similarities and their social freedom are associated with.

Progress towards women empowerment

In 2025, when we review the work done towards the development and empowerment of women, we will find that meaningful and important efforts have been made in the direction of women empowerment in the country and state under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. Women can understand their full potential and use it, various efforts are being made to provide various institutional arrangements such as healthcare, education, career and business counseling / training, financial inclusion, entrepreneurship etc. Women are playing a leading and important role in every field today. Women are setting such records that could not be imagined a few years ago. Today’s women are awake and are also leading in many areas. Women’s thoughts and their life values ​​create a happy family, ideal society and rich nation.

According to the concept of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s Women LED government, continuous efforts are being made to promote women leadership in Madhya Pradesh, increase their participation. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Modi, the Madhya Pradesh government is working vigorously to fulfill every resolution of women empowerment. In Madhya Pradesh, various schemes and programs are being run for teenage girls, all round development of women, conservation, socio -economic empowerment, better health, nutrition, whose purpose is to empower them in every field. These include Hub under Mission Shakti, Pradhan Mantri Matri Vandana Yojana, One Stop Center, Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao, Women Helpline 181, Sakhi Niwas, as well as Chief Minister Ladli Bahna Yojana-2023 and Chief Minister Ladli Laxmi Yojana etc.

In this sequence, according to the intention of the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister, the women’s empowerment mission is being started for solutions and overall empowerment of challenges and obstacles in the progress of girls and women in the state. The main objective of this mission is to ensure the access, health, nutrition, economic development and safety of women and girls as well as access to various government services. Efforts will be made to increase the economic self -reliance of women and economic participation in the society through the mission. The coordination of departments related to the schemes run by various departments will conduct mission activity.

Through Anganwadi services and health programs in the state, women have been made aware of health, nutrition and hygiene, which has also reduced the malnutrition rate. The state government did not have any shortage of financial resources for the safety of fetus women and infants. Upgradation, maintenance and operation of Anganwadi centers has always been in the highest priority of the Government of Madhya Pradesh. In this direction, the cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Dr. Yadav has decided to upgrade 12 thousand 670 mini Anganwadi centers of the state as a complete Anganwadi center. For this, 476 new posts of Taravakas. A total of 13 thousand 146 new posts including 12 thousand 670 Anganwadi Sahayika have been approved. In the implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana run for the health of pregnant women, Madhya Pradesh has got the first place at the national level for 5 consecutive years from the year 2022-2023.

The safety of daughters, women is one of the highest priorities of the Madhya Pradesh government and the state government has taken several steps for this. One Stop Center, Women Helpline 181 is working for this objective. In all the districts of the state, 57 forest stop centers are operated in the districts to help women suffering, through which more than 1 lakh women have been provided free assistance. Through schemes like women’s helpline number 181, women are getting solutions to their problems immediately. Shaurya parties have been formed with the aim of preventing women crimes and making it effective. More than 22.52 lakh girls / women are members of Shaurya Dal in each Anganwadi area of ​​village / ward level in the state. Madhya Pradesh is the first state in the country to punish those who raped innocent girls.

Schemes like Mukhyamantri Ladli Laxmi Yojana, Chief Minister Ladli Bahna Yojana 2023 have proved to be a milestone in the direction of empowerment, self -reliance and development of women in the state. About 1.27 crore women are benefiting from the Chief Minister Ladli Bahna Yojana. With the assistance amount received under the scheme, they are increasing their participation in family decisions, becoming financially empowered. In the Ladli Laxmi Yojana, girls are given an assurance certificate of Rs 1,43,000/-. This scheme has encouraged girl education in a large scale. Daughters are being done for bicycles and scooty distribution for college to go to school, so that there is no difficulty in their education facility.

The state government has taken the task of charging the preparations for the examinations of doctors, engineers, JEE, judges, CA etc. Provision has been made to provide an amount of Rs 25,000/- to Ladli girls in the graduate or business course of class 12th (course period minimum two years), an incentive amount of Rs 25,000/-, in two equal installments (in the first and final year of the course period). The intention of the state government has been that every daughter of the state can fulfill her dreams. In this perspective, women are being given 50 percent reservation in civic elections and teacher recruitment, 33 percent in police recruitment and 35 percent reservation in other recruitment.

“Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao is the auspicious mantra of the state government. Beti Bachao Beti Padhao in Madhya Pradesh is now in 2015-2016 and starts from 06 six districts with minimum infant sex ratio in the year 2015-2016. NFHS-5 (2020-2021) has been reduced to 23.01%. The sex ratio in the state was 927 as per NFHS-5 (2020-2021).

Women empowerment is not only a slogan, but a mandatory condition of the development of society. The Government of Madhya Pradesh is constantly striving for the all -round upliftment of women. Today, on the occasion of International Women’s Day, we should take a pledge that we will take more effective steps towards empowering women.
