The lion attacked the farmer who went to the farm to guard the paddy crop. The lion’s claws and teeth have caused serious injuries to the head, shoulder and hand, which has been referred to Sims for treatment. There is an atmosphere of panic in the area due to the influx of the lion.
The case is of Gadaghat in Takhatpur police station area, where the farmer living in the field Shiv Kumar Jaiswal went to the farm to guard the paddy crop. During this, the lion attacked him. The farmer, who became unconscious with the attack, informed the family about the lion’s attack via phone to the family members.
The family took the injured to the Community Health Center in Takhatpur for treatment, where after first aid, Sims, Bilaspur was referred for better treatment. The entire incident is questioned on the working style of the forest department. The department does not even know about the presence of lions in the area, in such a situation it is a distant thing to appeal to the villagers to be vigilant.
Experts believe that due to continuous illegal harvesting in the forests adjoining Takhatpur circle, wild animals are turning to the village in search of food and drink, due to which they are getting collided with humans.
