The National Investigation Agency (NIA) continues in the Naxal -affected Amabeda area of the district. In the latest action, the NIA team has detained 4 people. According to sources, those detained include outgoing vice presidents of Antagarh district, who are being questioned. It is believed that this action is being taken against the Naxal network and the suspects associated with it.
Significantly, the NIA team is constantly active in Bastar region. On February 28, taking major action in the Chhattisgarh Naxal funding case, Raghu Midiyami, the head of the native Bachao Manch, was arrested by the NIA. Earlier, in November 2023, the police arrested two people in the same case, from whom Rs 6 lakh cash was recovered. Investigation revealed that both of them were MBM’s overground worker (OGW), who were working to raise and distribute funds for the Maoists.
