Approval of Madhya Pradesh proposal under NITI Aayog’s State Support Mission

Commissioner, Economic Statistics Shri Rishi Garg informed that the Government of India has approved the proposal of Madhya Pradesh government under the State Support Mission of NITI Aayog to Rs 1.23 crore for the financial year 2024-25. This acceptance is an important step towards strengthening entrepreneurship, data-operated governance, economic growth, climate adaptation and impact evaluation in the state. He said that this decision was taken after detailed deliberations and cooperation between Madhya Pradesh State NITI Aayog and NITI Aayog. This has strengthened the commitment to realize the dream of the state’s developed Madhya Pradesh and developed India @2047.

Commissioner Shri Garg said that there are 3 major pillars of this acceptance, which will accelerate women-leadership enterprise development by promoting women’s entrepreneurship platform (WEP-MP) policy reforms, strategic partnerships and a dedicated digital platform. Madhya Pradesh State Data Analysis Platform (SDAP) will be developed in collaboration with the National Data Analytics Platform (NDAP) of NITI Aayog. This initiative will integrate multi-regional dataset to support evidence-based policy making, improve the program monitoring and ensure better allocation of resources.

Growth-hub initiative (G-Hub) focuses on promoting economic growth in identified areas. The goal of G-Hub is to create an analogous development roadmap that gives impetus to regional economic development. Climate favorable action plan (C) will be created to support climate adaptation and control strategies, which will suit Net Zero 2070 and Sustainable Development Goals. Monitoring, evaluation and impact assessment unit empowering data-based good governance through monitoring and evaluation of state policies and programs. The Madhya Pradesh government on inclusive development, innovation and entrepreneurship is in line with the extensive policy and approach.

Commissioner, Mr. Garg informed that with this approval, the Government of Madhya Pradesh will now move towards effective implementation of these initiatives. This will ensure that programs get institutional support and necessary resources. For this, the state will cooperate with NITI Aayog in the areas of knowledge sharing, capacity building and technical support, which will prepared a strong growth structure.

Commissioner Shri Garg said that this initiative is an important achievement towards making Madhya Pradesh a leading economic and policy state. The government is committed to using this state support mission to speed up sustainable development and socio-economic change.
