The swearing -in ceremony of the newly elected Mayor and councilors of Municipal Corporation Ambikapur was held today at the PG College Hockey Stadium in Ambikapur. In the presence of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai and Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh, Collector Vilas Bhoskar administered the oath to Mayor Manjusha Bhagat and councilors in a group of 8-8.
Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai said that this swearing -in ceremony of Municipal Corporation Ambikapur is a symbol of public confidence, democratic values and commitment to the development of the city. The government is committed to fulfill all the promises made in the ‘Atal Vishwas Patra’. He said that the trust with which the public has chosen the mayor and councilors will meet it. He said that everyone will have to work unitedly to make Ambikapur clean, smart and prosperous cities.
Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh, while wishing the newly elected public representatives, emphasized transparency and effective administration in the development of the city.
Agriculture Minister Ram Vichar Netam, Surguja MP Chintamani Maharaj, Ambikapur MLA Rajesh Aggarwal, Lundra MLA Prabodh Minj, Chhattisgarh State Youth Commission Chairman Vishwa Vijay Singh Tomar and other public representatives and dignitaries were present on the occasion.
