On the evening of 28 February 2025, all the seven planets of the solar system will appear together at night. It is a rare and amazing astronomical phenomenon, called the great planetary alignment. Saturn, Mercury, Neptune, Venus, Arun, Jupiter and Mars – all planets will appear together in a straight line.
This phenomenon will be an amazing opportunity for astronomy enthusiasts and common people. This incident is also special because it is very rare to appear together. Usually some planets are on the same side of the Sun at the same time, but all the planets come together in one line.
Science broadcaster and national award winner Sarika Gharu said that at the time of sunset, when the sun sinks in the west direction, Saturn (Saturn), Mercury (Mercury) and Neptune will also be set.
Venus (Venus) shining above them will be seen. In addition, Jupiter (Jupiter) and Uranus will be present above the right head, while the red planet Mars (Mars) will appear in the east.
Such a coincidence is made in a few years
Sarika said that it is being promoted on social media as a rare incident, but it is not so. This astronomical coincidence continues every few years. For example, in January 2016 and August 2022, four planets were seen. Five planets appeared in July 2022.
The next ‘planetary parade’ will be held in August 2025 and October 2028, when four and five planets can be seen. However, this coincidence is being made in the evening this time, from which it can be easily seen. So enjoy this special astronomical view and celebrate National Science Day.
How many planets will be able to see from equipment
According to Sarika, Mars, Jupiter and Venus can be easily seen without any equipment. But Mercury and Saturn will not be easily visible due to being hidden in sunlight. At the same time, Neptune and Uranus can only be seen from powerful telescope. In this way, only three planets will be seen clearly to the common people.
Discussion on the mysterious world of Black Hole in Zonal Science Center
On the occasion of National Science Day, Sir CV Raman Memorial Lecture will be organized on February 28 at the Zonal Science Center. The theme of this year is ‘observation of the universe through neutrino’, which will be presented by Professor Shubhendu Rakshit of IIT Indore.
In this lecture, Prof. Rakshit will tell that earlier astronomers used to study the universe only through light, but now with the help of small particles called neutrino can also be peeping to the depths of the universe.
Will also talk on the discovery of black hole
The astronomer Dr. Frank Aizenhawar (Director, Max Planck Institute, Germany) will lectles on the topic of the world’s most sharp telescopes and black holes in the center of the galaxy. Dr. Eishenhawar will tell in this lecture that there is a huge black hole in the center of our galaxy, which the scientists tried to find for many years, but it was always hidden.
