Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that in the last years, the field of new and renewable energy production in Madhya Pradesh has increased at a rapid pace. Now it has increased to 15% of our total energy production. Also, Madhya Pradesh has also made a record of making the cheapest electricity. Electricity is being produced at the rate of 02 rupees 14 paise per unit in the solar project set up in Neemuch district of the state and this inexpensive electricity is selling our government to Indian Railways, which is a big achievement.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing a departmental summit on new and renewable energy under the Global Investors Summit held in Bhopal today.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, today India stands in front of the world in every field. Today, where there is upheaval in the world, many countries do not even talk among themselves. Our famous Prime Minister Modi has a constant dialogue with everyone and he is working continuously for the progress of India. On Monday, a Global Investor Summit has been held in Bhopal under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, in which investment proposals are coming from all over the world in Madhya Pradesh. Investors from India and abroad have expressed confidence in investment in Madhya Pradesh. The smallest investment is also very large for us and every investor is important.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that our culture focuses on the sun. We worship the Sun God and gives us energy. The charioteer of the Sun is Ashwin. Similarly, our guide is Union Minister of Railways, Information and Broadcasting, Electronics and Information Technology Ashwini Vaishnav. Along with renewable energy in Madhya Pradesh, the railway network is being expanded at a fast pace.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that renewable energy in the state is being done rapidly in the field of solar energy. A 750 MW ultra mega solar park has been installed in Rewa. Similarly, a 500 MW solar power plant and India’s largest pumping hydro power storage project have been set up in Neemuch. It is producing the cheapest electricity. India’s largest floating solar project has been set up in Omkareshwar. India’s first Power and Renewable Energy Equipment Manufacturing Zone has been created at Muhasa Babai in Narmadapuram district. Earlier its area was increased to 884 acres, now 1000 acres are being increased further. Madhya Pradesh is continuously working to achieve the target of renewable energy of 500 GW of India.

In his address through video conferencing, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, there has been a good investment atmosphere in Madhya Pradesh. He informed that by the year 2030, Indian Railways will be “net zero” in the field of energy, that is, 100 percent electricity will run. Right now 97% of the railway line has been electrified. Today, a 170 MW power purchase agreement has been done with Madhya Pradesh, which is very important in itself. We will buy all the additional electricity as Madhya Pradesh will produce. Vaishnav said that historical work of railway network is going on in Madhya Pradesh. An investment of 01 lakh 4 thousand crores is being made in this area. A 2456 km railway network has been prepared in Madhya Pradesh after the year 2014.

New and renewable Energy Minister Rakesh Shukla said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, notable work is being done in the field of new and renewable energy in Madhya Pradesh. Today it is our good fortune that the Prime Minister himself has come to the Global Investor Summit. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav is constantly working to increase investment in the state. They are constantly working in this field with Charaiveti, Charaiveti’s motto. Only 500 MW of renewable energy was produced in the state 10 years ago, which has now become 7000 MW. A single window system has been created to set up industries in the state. He told the investors that there is plenty of water, land, air and sunlight in Madhya Pradesh, they should invest here.

Along with this, investment contracts were also imposed with various investors in the field of new and renewable energy.
