Several MLAs, including Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh and Leader of Opposition Charandas Mahant, inspected the construction works of Naveen Assembly Building at Nawa Raipur in Chhattisgarh. During this, Deputy Chief Minister Arun Saw, Cabinet Minister OP Chaudhary, Raipur MP Sunil Soni, Dayaldas Baghel and other public representatives were also present.
During the inspection, the infrastructure, facilities and progress of construction of the assembly building were discussed in detail. The officials concerned informed the MLAs in detail about the structure of the building, arrangements for the offices and the meeting arrangements.
Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh said that “Today we reviewed the construction works of the assembly building. Suggestions have been sought from all MLAs, including the Leader of Opposition. The structure and various requirements of the building have been discussed in detail. We also saw which rooms have been prepared for the opposition. Instructions have been given to complete the remaining works soon. We will soon ask for time from the central leadership for its inauguration and the plan to shift the residence of all the MLAs in Nawa Raipur will also be completed soon. ”

Deadline is till June-2025
It is worth noting that the new assembly building being constructed on about 20.78 hectares of land in Sector-19 of Nawa Raipur will be fully ready by June-2025. The entire assembly building will be operated with solar energy. The new assembly building is being constructed according to the capacity of 200 MLAs. The building will be equipped with basic state -of -the -art facilities like Vidhan Sabha Secretariat, Three Meeting Hall, Canteen, Central Hall, Viewer Gallery, Media Loun, a auditorium, art gallery, hospital, bank and post office. Cabinet meeting hall is also being constructed on the lines of Parliament House at Naveen Building. The building will also be equipped with the culture of Chhattisgarh Bastar Art, Jashpur Art as well as Contemporary Urban Art.
