American Airlines aircraft going from New York to Delhi ‘Suspected Bomb Threat’

The American Airlines aircraft going from New York to Delhi was converted to Rome after receiving a ‘suspicious threat of bomb’ on Sunday evening and after investigation it was approved to fly again. According to officials, the aircraft had 199 passengers and 15 crew members in this aircraft. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) stated that the route of American Airlines flight ‘AA 292’ was converted and sent to Rome after the information was given by the crew.

The FAA reported that the aircraft was safely landed at Lyonardo da Vinci International Airport in Rome at around 5.30 pm local time. In a statement to ‘PTI’, American Airlines said that the route of flight number 292 was converted and sent to Rome due to ‘possible security’ reasons. The airline regretted the inconvenience caused to passengers, saying that the aircraft landed safely in Rome and the law enforcement officials gave permission to fly the aircraft again.
