Islamabad
Incidents of terrorism and extremism in Pakistan are continuously increasing. In this episode, on Tuesday, there was a terrible attack in Balochistan province, where militants stopped a bus and brutally murdered seven Punjabi passengers.
Death given from bus
The incident occurred late on Tuesday night near Barkhan district of Balochistan, when a bus going from Quetta to Lahore was stopped by gun -holders. He entered the bus and checked the identity cards of the passengers and selected seven of them and took down the bus. After this, everyone was shot, causing him to die on the spot.
Baloch Liberation Army took responsibility
The responsibility of this attack has been taken by the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), an extremist organization active in Balochistan. The organization claimed that the attack was carried out in response to the excesses of the Pakistani Army. The BLA alleges that the Pakistani Army is forcibly disappearing the Baloch citizens and the attack was carried out as its response. BLA’s Intelligence Wing ‘Zirab’ had informed that the bus was riding in the bus from the Pakistani Army and Intelligence Agency ISI. However, the Pakistani media is calling it an attack on common citizens and this claim has not been confirmed.
Pakistan in the shadow of terror and insecurity
Balochistan has been the center of militant attacks for a long time. There have been several attacks against the Government of Pakistan and the Army in this province in recent years. In particular, Punjabi and other minorities have been targeted. The incident has once again raised serious concern over the security situation in Pakistan.
Balochistan is the poorest and lowest populated area
Balochistan still remains the poorest and lowest populated area of Pakistan, where separatist movements have been active for decades. In 2005, the Pakistani Army launched a comprehensive military campaign against these separatists, but there was no significant change in the situation. Balochistan is an important center in the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), but the separatist and political parties here are constantly opposing the project. Baloch separatists allege that China is trying to colonize the region through its economic projects here. They also claim that the consent of the local people is not taken in these projects, which is ignoring and exploitation.
