Vicky Kaushal’s film ‘Chhava’ has now been tax free in Goa after Madhya Pradesh. Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant announced this through a post on X on the occasion of 395th birth anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj on Wednesday evening. Earlier, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has also made a film based on the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj in his kingdom.
Chief Minister Pramod Sawant did tax free on ‘Chhava’
Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said, “I am happy to announce that Chhatrapati will be tax-free in Chhava Goa, based on the life and sacrifice of Sambhaji Maharaj.” He emphasized that the film reflects the valor and courage of Sambhaji Maharaj, who fought against the Mughals and the Portuguese for “Dev, Desh and Dharma”.
Devendra Fundavis said this about the teeth
Earlier, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis also welcomed the appeal to tax-free the film Chhava. He appreciated the historical performance of the film and said that he has heard good feedback about the film from the public. CM Fadnavis said, “I am happy that a very good film has been made on the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. Although I have not seen it yet, but the response I received tells that history has not been distorted in this film. ” Along with this, Fadnavis also informed that Maharashtra had already removed the entertainment tax in 2017 and now he will see how the film can be taken to more and more people.
‘Chhawa’ will soon touch 200 figures
Vicky Kaushal’s film ‘Chhava’ crossed the 100 crore mark at the box office on the third day of its release. Now it will soon join the club of Rs 200 crore. The film has so far collected Rs 197.75 crore from the box office. The film is directed by Laxman Utekar. ‘Chhava’ stars Vicky Kaushal Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj in the lead role. Apart from this, Rashmika Mandana has played Yesubai Bhosle, Akshaye Khanna, Aurangzeb, Diana Penty, Jit-un-Nisa Begum, Divya Dutta, Soyarabai, Vineet Kumar Singh has played Kavi Kalash and Ashutosh Rana played Hambirrao Mohite.
