They believe that these words historically remind of foreign rule, so they should be removed and given new names according to the Sanatani tradition. ”
Appeal to change the name of historical buildings
Mahesh Sharma, priest of Mahakal temple, said, “Many historical buildings in the country are still known by Mughal names, which are seen as a symbol of slavery. The government is urged to change their names according to Indian culture and tradition.
