Alan Musk proposes to buy Openai

Washington

Famous billionaire Alan Musk, who offered to buy Open AI after Twitter, has suffered a setback. In fact, recently Alan Musk had proposed to buy Openai in $ 97 billion, so that the company can control and try to focus it on the original non-profit mission. However, the Openai Board has officially rejected this offer.

Board’s clear response
Openai’s head Brettlor said on X (East Twitter), “Openai is not for sale.” He said that the board unanimously rejected Musk’s latest attempt, and any possible reorganization will strengthen the non-profit mission.

Musk’s proposal and response
Alan Musk proposed to buy Openai in $ 97 billion in association with a group investors. Musk’s lawyer, Mark Toberoff stressed that if the company is to be made fully beneficial, then the non-profit organization should get proper compensation in this change.

Soon after, Openai CEO Sama Altman dismissed Musk’s offer in a funny manner, saying, “No, thank you, but if you want, we are ready to buy Twitter in $ 9.74 billion.”

Altman’s comment at Paris AI Summit
At the Paris AI Summit of 2025, Sama Altman commented on the issue, saying, “I have nothing to say, it is very ridiculous.” He further added, “The company is not for sale,” and described Musk’s continuous efforts only as another ‘episode’.

Altman made a strong comment on Allen Musk’s strategy, saying that Musk is using cases and disruptive methods, while they should focus on making better products. He also said, “This is another trick of Musk to tamper with us.”

It has become clear from this dispute that Openai is adamant on its original mission and has no intention of being impressed by Musk’s proposal.
