Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s historic France’s visit to France has proved to be strengthening the relationship between New Delhi and Paris. During this time both countries have signed 10 MoUs/agreements. Among the MoUs/agreements that India-France has signed-India-France manifesto on Artificial Wisdom (AI), Launching of logo for 2026 for India-France Innovation Year, 10 Indian Starts at French Start-Up Incubator Station F -Announcement of the objective of establishing partnerships on advanced modular reactors and small modular reactors, declaration of triangular development cooperation, a joint opening of India’s consulate in Marsile.
Apart from this, letters were also signed for the establishment of Indo-French Center for Digital Sciences between the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India (DST) and France’s Institute National de Research N. Informatic at An Automatic (INRIA).

The important achievement of PM Modi’s visit to France was the opening of India’s new Consulate General on Tuesday. It was jointly inaugurated by Prime Minister Modi and President Macron. During the Prime Minister’s visit to France in July 2023, the decision to open a Consulate General in Marsile was announced. This new Consul General Open in France’s second most populous city will further strengthen the multidimensional strategic partnership of India-France.
Prime Minister Modi wrote on X, “A historic moment in Marsile! President Emmanuel Macron and I inaugurated the Indian Consulate in this lively city, a new chapter in India-France relations. This consulate will serve as an important bridge, which will strengthen our cultural, economic and relations between people. ”

Prime Minister Modi said, “Marsile relations with India are well known. It was an important base for Indian soldiers during the First World War. The city also has a deep connection with Veer Savarkar. On this special inauguration, I thank the Government of France and congratulate Indian migrants. ”
