Defense Minister Rajnath Singh on Monday compared Aero India 2025 to the Mahakumbh Mela, saying that biennial aerospace and defense exhibition reflects the strength and stability of Indian earth in the world full of uncertainties.
Inaugurating the program at Yelhanka Air Force Station here, Mr. Singh said, “Aero India is not just an exhibition, but a proof of India’s growing strength in defense and aerospace. Just as the Mahakumbh Mela binds millions of people in the formula of spiritual unity, the event units global defense and aerospace stakeholders on Indian earth. ” The Defense Minister reiterated the government’s commitment to strengthen armed forces with advanced indigenous technology and promote strategic cooperation with global partners.
The 15th edition of the premier air show participating by major global defense firms, aerospace companies and military delegations is likely to be major announcements and partnerships with the aim of increasing India’s self -reliance in the region.
Significantly, this event is being held at a time when India is accelerating indigenous defense production under the ‘Self -reliant India’ initiative, which aims to increase exports and reduce dependence on imports.
