The work of Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL) project has been completed. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off the Vande Bharat train from Jammu to Kashmir on 17 February.
Giving the above information, an official said that after years of dedication, excellence of engineering and tireless efforts, the long -standing dream of Kashmir’s railway connectivity has finally come true. Vande Bharat Express, specially designed for this important paraiyagana, will be flagged off from Jammu Division on 17 February.
Katra-Srinagar rail route is equipped with Advance Technology
The official said the train is specially designed to operate efficiently under the harsh winter conditions of Jammu and Kashmir on the Katra-Srinagar rail route. It provides advanced climate-resistant technologies, which include heating systems, which will prevent water and bio-toilet tanks from freezing. Additionally, he said that the air-break system has been adapted for smooth operation even in sub-zero temperature.
The official said the Vande Bharat Express also includes embedded heating elements in the Windshord that automatically defrosts the lookout glass of the driver, which ensures clear visibility in highly winter conditions. He said that apart from these special adaptations, the train has all the standard Vande Bharat facilities like fully air -conditioned coaches, automatic plug doors, mobile charging sockets.
