Former India coach has agreed to join Rajasthan Royals (RR) before IPL 2025. Former India’s stand-in bowling coach Sairaj will soon join the franchise. Many were not permanent members of Team India’s coaching staff. He also traveled to Sri Lanka under the leadership of head coach Gautam Gambhir. He recently withdrew from his post, but is now making a comeback in the IPL.
Sairaj Quite said that he is close to finalizing his participation with the franchise. Some work is still yet to be done, but he is excited to re -connect with Royals. He said that he is thrilled to join Rahul again. Let me tell you that Sairaj played 2 Tests and 8 ODIs between 1997 and 2003. After the end of his term with Team India, Rahul Dravid made a comeback as a head coach in RR. He was earlier associated with RR from 2011 to 2013. Dravid played for the Rajasthan team for 3 years. He took over as RR’s coach after his retirement and his tenure was two years.
Dravid had to give up coaching of IPL teams in 2017 as he was working with BCCI. RR returned to the IPL in 2018. From November 2021 to June 2024, Dravid decided to return to RR after the end of a successful tenure with Team India. Under his patronage, India won the 2024 T20 World Cup and reached the final of the 2023 ODI World Cup.
