The first medical institute of Central India to do so
Along with this, Pt JNM Medical College has become the first government medical institute in Central India where this special course is being started. This is a huge achievement for the people of Central India. A letter has been received from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. In this letter it is written, ‘The Central Government has instructed the National Medical Commission (NMC) that it under the Regional Cancer Institute of Medical College Raipur M.C. Issue a letter (LOP) for three seats of surgical oncology super-spasielization course.
Course will start from this session
This important course will start from this academic session. It is worth noting that 6 recognized seats of MD (radiotherapy) are already running in the Cancer Department. Now m.ch. The joining of the course will provide even more better facilities in the treatment of cancer.
Applied last year
NMC Sale Chairman Dr. Arvind Neral said that an application was made earlier last year to start this super-spasielization course. The NMC did not release the LOP citing some shortcomings. The college, while removing the shortcomings, appealed for a full review twice. Last week, Professor of Surgical Oncology, Dr. Ashutosh Gupta was sent personally to NMC New Delhi to present his case as directed by NMC.
Cancer patients will get facilities
Dr. Gupta said that this is the first government medical institute in Central India where this special course is being started. The commencement of this course will provide better facilities to cancer patients requiring surgery. The state will find super-specialists in surgical oncology. Medical postgraduate students will get new good opportunities for higher education. This course is a golden opportunity for young doctors.
