National Sports: Karnataka remains on top of medal table with 54 medals

Karnataka remains at the top with 54 medals in the ninth day medal table of the ongoing 38th national game in Uttarakhand. Karnataka has so far won 28 gold, 11 silver and 15 bronze medals. The second place is services, which has won a total of 46 medals (27 gold, 10 silver, 9 bronze). Madhya Pradesh is third with 34 medals (17 gold, 7 silver, 10 bronze).

Maharashtra is the highest total medal winning state with 82 medals, but it ranks fourth due to the number of gold medals 16. Haryana is ranked fifth with 51 medals and Tamil Nadu is sixth with 44 medals. Manipur, Delhi, Kerala and Punjab maintain their place in the top 10.

The host state Uttarakhand has won a total of 33 medals (4 gold, 14 silver, 15 bronze) so far and is ranked 15th in the medal table.
