Promote skill upgradation to increase employment opportunities: School Education Minister Singh

School Education Minister Uday Pratap Singh has said that to increase employment opportunities in the state, there is a need to promote skill upgradation among all sections of the society. According to today’s need, he insisted on training skill upgradation on trades. School Education Minister Shri Singh said this during a discussion with officials in the ministry.

MoU was conducted between Madhya Pradesh State Free School Education Board and National Institute of Open Schooling. After the MoU, 93 types of skill upgradation courses can be done from the National Institute of Open Education in the state. The MoU was signed by Director Shri Prabhat Raj Tiwari and National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) Mr. Shakeel Ahmed. The introduction of skill development courses will benefit public-general and dear flowing.

The new education policy-2020 has emphasized on bringing vocational education and skill development to the main stream. Both the institutions will also provide opportunities for vocational education from computer and internet platforms to interested youth of the state. Vocational education will be included in the educational syllabus in the state from class-6 itself. After this, they will also be linked to higher education.

Emphasis will be laid on women’s training
It was told by the officials of the institute that arrangements will be made to provide training according to their interest to make women benefited from Ladli Bahna self -sufficient. 23 regional centers and more than 7 thousand study centers are being operated across the country of National Institute of Open Schooling. Certificates will be provided to the learners, taking exams and passing students. This certificate will prove to be helpful in providing them employment and starting their own employment.
