Along with this, due to continuous sand excavation, there is also a danger of falling the bridge built at a cost of crores, which can lead to loss of life and property.
Let us know that these rivers have been shattered by the sand mafia by filling sand in hundreds of tractors on the Son River and Khujji river on Kolebira from Kolebira in the district. Also, the bridge (bridge) built at a cost of about 5 crores on this route, which was operational for traffic, is likely to be damaged. If the sand excavation is not stopped around the bridge, it can have serious consequences. The sand mafia can also fall due to the weakening of the bridge’s foundation due to the sand and soil around the pillar of the bridge.
The local residents have also complained about this matter to District Gorela Pendra Marwahi Collector Leena Kamlesh Mandavi. Local residents say that there are 2 bridges in village Kolbira, in which illegal sand is being illegally excavated by many people, due to which the bridge is on the verge of collapse. With the excavation of sand, there is a lot of depth around the bridge, in which anyone can fall and die. Complaint has been made to take action with the collector. The complaint has been done earlier too, but no action has been taken so far and the mineral department is sleeping peacefully.
Office Public Works Department Setu Construction Division has also written a letter to the collector that the bridge built on the Son River and Khujji River on Kolbira Silphari road was inspected by the sub -divisional officer engineer, which found that the bridge was 100 meters from upstream and downstream Sand excavation has been found at a distance of which the foundation of the bridge is being damaged. The collector has been asked to take action to immediately close the sand excavation within the radius of 300 meters of the bridge.
