Swedish officials have confirmed that 11 people have been killed in a mass firing in a school in Orebro. The Prime Minister of the country has described it as the deadliest attack in the history of Sweden.
Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Christorson said in a press conference late at night that the firing in the school in Orebro between Sweden is the biggest collective firing in the history of the country.
Earlier, the Swedish police confirmed in the evening that about ten people were killed in the shootout. The incident occurred at the education center called Risburgka Scolon in Orebro. According to the police, the deceased also includes suspected shooter.
According to the information received, the investigation and further search continues. Officials said that the correct number of victims is still not clear. However, initial conclusions indicate that the suspect alone did this work. The police also said that they do not know the motive behind the firing, but it does not seem terrorism. He said that he had “found no warning sign” about the attack.
At the same time, Christorson appealed to the public to avoid speculation, stressing that the authorities should be given a place to conduct their investigation.

Speaking to Swedish Radio (SR), local school security expert Leena Lajungdahal said armed violence in schools in Sweden is very rare, but violence has increased outside educational institutions. Schools have had several firing in recent years.
