Regarding the upcoming urban body elections, State Election Commissioner Ajay Singh inspected the strong room set up at the Model College in Dharampura, Jagdalpur today and took stock of the arrangements for polling material and counting venue. During the inspection, he gave necessary instructions to the officers by taking information regarding the date of commissioning, security arrangements, security of the strong room and other arrangements.
He also took cognizance of the commissioning process of EVM machines and the system of transport of machines for urban body elections. Officials said that after examining the machines, arrangements have been made to reach the strong room safely.
State Election Commissioner Singh said that all possible steps should be taken to conduct fair and transparent elections. He directed the officers and employees engaged in the election process to work with full readiness and complete all the necessary preparations on time. During this inspection, Commissioner Doman Singh, IG Sundararaj P., State Election Commission Secretary Dr. Sarveshwar Narendra Bhur, Nodal Officer Police OP Pal, Collector and District Election Officer Haris S, Superintendent of Police Shalabh Sinha and other concerned officers were also present. .
