Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has announced a tax exemption on an annual income of Rs 12 lakh, giving great relief to the middle class while presenting the budget on Saturday. No tax will be incurred up to Rs 12.75 lakh with a standard deduction of Rs 75,000 for salaried taxpayers. Also, the government is going to introduce a new bill on income tax this week.
