Mahakumbh 2025: PM Modi took a dip in Triveni Sangam


Mahakumbh 2025: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday took a holy dip at Triveni Sangam during Mahakumbh 2025 in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh amid tight security arrangements. Prime Minister Modi reached Triveni Sangam from Arail Ghat Marg on Nishadraj Cruise. The Prime Minister along with UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also went to the Mahakumbh Mela.

After taking the holy dip, the Prime Minister also chanting Rudraksha and worshiped the holy river Ganga. Significantly, 5 February has a lot of religious significance for Hindus, because on this day both Magh Ashtami and Bhishma Ashtami are celebrated. The Prime Minister also performed Ganga Aarti later during the day.

Significantly, seven days after the stampede during Mahakumbh, PM Modi came to Prayagraj, in which 30 people lost their lives and 60 others were injured.

Mahakumbh, starting from Paush Purnima (January 13, 2025), is the largest spiritual and cultural gathering in the world, in which devotees from all over the world come. Mahakumbh will continue till Mahashivaratri on 26 February.

Earlier, during his visit to Prayagraj on December 13, 2024, the Prime Minister inaugurated 167 development projects worth Rs 5,500 crore to improve connectivity, facilities and services to the general public.
