US President Donald Trump on Monday indicated that he agrees to continue American support in the war against Russia on the condition that Ukraine should compromise on American access to the rare mineral elements found on its earth. Trump told reporters at the ‘Oval Office’ (US President’s office) that the US had sent Ukraine far more military and financial assistance than its European colleagues. He said, “We want to make an agreement with Ukraine, under which we give us our rare mineral elements in return.”
Trump suggested that he received a message from the Ukraine government that he is ready to make an agreement to provide access to the US to important elements for the modern high -technology economy. Trump said, ‘I want to conserve these rare mineral elements found on earth. We are spending hundreds of billion dollars. They have very good rare mineral elements and I want to conserve these rare minerals. They are ready to do so. ‘
Trump had earlier stated that he would end the war rapidly and talk for it is going on. Trump said, ‘We have made a lot of progress in terms of Russia and Ukraine. Let’s see what happens. We are going to stop that absurd war. ‘ Ukraine President Volodimir Jailonsky on Saturday told the ‘Associated Press’ (AP) that any conversation between the US and Russia was unacceptable without his country’s presence.
He said that his team is in touch with the Trump administration, but these discussions are still at the normal level and believe that there will be a face-to-face meetings for more detailed agreement soon. Jailonsky said, “We need to work more on it.”
