BJD leader also raised questions
Biju Janata Dal (BJD) member Sulata Dev on Monday questioned the government’s inability to find out the figures of dead and missing devotees despite the use of state -of -the -art technology in Mahakumbh. During a discussion on the vote of thanks on the President’s address in the Rajya Sabha, Dev said that the incident should be discussed in the House.
Dev questioned, “The President expressed grief for the dead at the Kumbh Mela. Whatever happened in Kumbh and the situation is, it should be criticized because we know that thousands of people have become homeless and lost and they have not been traced. If we can see the number of crowds from AI, then why are we not able to see how many people are missing with the help of technology. Why is it not being criticized? ” He said that when the students died in the water logging incident in Delhi on 27 July, then there was a short -term discussion, then why could there not be a discussion on the Mahakumbh incident.
