On the lines of Mahakal Lok of Ujjain, Narmada will soon start taking shape in Narmadapuram. The work of Narmada Lok will be done in three phases at a cost of Rs 150 crore. In its first phase, Narmada Ghat will be beautified from Kori Ghat from 20 crores.
The 5 km long Narmada folk corridor will be built from Kharraghat to Gondri Ghat in Narmadapuram. For its technical approval, the municipality has sent a DPR to Bhopal. As soon as the approval comes, the tenders will be done by the last week of February. After this work will start.
The art size of Narmada Lok’s DPR Indore has been prepared by Associates. The appearance of the ghats will change in 5 km from Kharghat to Gondri Ghat in the Narmada folk corridor. There will be strong security arrangements. The work of creating Narmada Lok has been found by the company that built Kamakhya Devi temple.
In this project, drawing of Rajghat, Vivekananda Ghat and Post Office Ghat is kept uniform. In this, genitals will be made for worship. Tarpan, pindadan will be possible at Rajghat. Apart from this, the ghat will be widened. A track will also be built at the post office ghat.
These works will be done in Narmada folk corridor
Entrance gate: The Sethani Ghat entrance and corridor Jaipuri will be made of red stones. There will be carvings at the gate gate. The tiger face and dome will remain on the lines of Salkanpur. History information will be found in the middle of the corridor.
Sethani Ghat: Beautification will be done from Sethani Ghat to Tourism Ghat. Open pandals will be built on the gurjas. There will be Narmada darshan sitting. The prescribed area will be boating like Guari Ghat, Omkareshwar in Jabalpur.
210 meter corridor: A 210 meter long corridor will be built from Sethani Ghat to Mangalwara Ghat. It will develop trees, plants, lighting and develop the pathway with red stone.
Kori Ghat: Parking will be made above. Kids plaza will be built on the upper part itself. There will be water activity at the ghat. The park will swing and plants. The view point will be made from Kori Ghat, which will enable the beauty of Narmada.
Herbal Park Ghat: There will be two walking tracks of about two km to Gondri Ghat. One will be built in the top of the normal level of the Narmada River, the other will be built in the top so that the second track is not submerged even if there is a flood -like situation in the rain. The place of yoga in the herbal park will also be fixed. The currency of 12 asanas will be seen. People will be able to use Path Way and Open Gym. Medicinal plants will be planted on both sides of the track.
Tourism Ghat: Tourism ghats will be developed as Chowpatty. Shops will be built here. Music points, selfie points, parks and light fountains will be installed here. A big parking lot will be built. Vehicles of devotees will stand in this parking lot instead of Sethani Ghat.
Shivraj had announced the Narmada Corridor in 2023, in the year 2023, the then Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan announced the formation of Narmada Corridor on Narmada Jayanti. Chauhan joined as the chief guest on Narmada Jayanti. He had said that as Mahakal Lok, Devi Lok is being built in Salakanpur, the mother Narmada Corridor will be built in Narmadapuram.
After the announcement, the case of the corridor went into cold storage. After running slow for two years, now the outline of building a corridor has intensified. In the first phase, work of Rs 20 crore has been sent to Bhopal for TS (technical approval).
According to the flood management, the plan made after the suggestion of the people, according to the Narmada River Front, a DPR has been made by detail survey. Municipality CMO Hemeshwari Patle said that the work of Narmada Lok Corridor will be done for about Rs 150 crore. There will be 20 crores work in the first phase. Work will begin after the tender is released. A plan has been made in view of the flood level in the rain.
The first phase DPR Municipality President Neetu Mahendra Yadav said that the Narmada folk corridor will be built as Mahakal Lok. In the first phase, work will be done from Mangalwara Ghat to Kori Ghat. In which Sethanighat, Narmada Lok Gate, Tourism Ghats will be built. The parking problem will end. Like other rivers, people will be able to boat in Narmadapuram.
CMO Hemeshwari Patle said that the first phase of DPR has been made worth Rs 20 crore. Tender will be done as soon as technical approval comes. The first phase will work for Sethani Ghat, Kori Ghat, Tourism Ghat. Later, as the funds are available, the next phase will be the Walking Kharra Ghat works from Mangalwara Ghat, Herbal Park to Gondri Ghat.

The main program will be organized from 5 pm to 8:30 pm from Jal Manch at Sethani Ghat, which will include Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav as the chief guest. During this time there will also be cultural presentations, which will continue till late night.
