National Sports 2025: Andaman-Nicobar won three medals in road cycling and two medals

On the first day of the road cycling final of the National Sports 2025, Andaman and Nicobar performed brilliantly and won three medals including a gold, a silver and a bronze. At the same time, the Services Sports Control Board (SSCB) also performed strongly and won a gold and a silver medal.

Women’s Elite Scratch 10 km Race
Kirti Rangaswamy C of Karnataka won the gold medal in the women’s elite scratch 10 km race. Assam’s selective Gogoi had to be content with silver and Meenakshi of Haryana was satisfied with the bronze medal.

Male Elite Scratch 15 km race
Sahil Kumar of SSCB captured the gold medal in the men’s elite scratch race 15 km. Advaita Shankar SS of Kerala won silver and Krishna Nayakodi of SSCB won bronze.

Women’s Elite Sprint Competition
Shweta Balu Gunjal of Maharashtra won a gold medal with a time of 12.745 seconds at the Women’s Elite Sprint. Andaman and Nicobar’s Celestina completed the race in 12.848 seconds and won the silver medal, while Triyasha Paul of Delhi won the bronze medal by completing the sprint in 12.799 seconds. Agusha Shushikala Durgaprasad of Maharashtra finished fourth with a time of 12.567 seconds and missed the medal with a margin of some got.

Male Elite Sprint Competition
In the men’s elite sprint event, Andaman and David Beckham of Nicobar won the gold medal by completing the race in 10.691 seconds. Latonjam Ronaldo Singh of Manipur won a silver medal with a time of 10.724 seconds, while Andaman and Nicobar’s ASO won the bronze medal by completing the race in 10.826 seconds. On the first day of road cycling, a total of 12 medals were won by players from different states and boards, in which the spectacular performance of Andaman and Nicobar caught everyone’s attention.
