Talks to take care while buying gold

1. Buy certified gold
Always buy gold with a hallmark of Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). Under the new rules, gold will not be sold from April 1 to sell alphanumeric hallmarking without 6 digits. This code is like an Aadhaar card and is called Hallmark Unique Identification Number (HUID).

2. Check the price
To check the right weight of gold and the rate of that day, get information from different sources, such as the website of India Bullion and Jewelers Association.

3. Remove the price according to the carat
– 24 carat gold is the pure, but it does not create jewelery because it is very soft.
– Jewelery is usually made from 22 carats or less gold.

If the price of 24 carat gold is Rs 60,000 per 10 grams, then the price of 1 gram gold will be Rs 6,000.
– Price of 1 gram of gold of 1 carat purity = 6,000/24 = 250 rupees
– Price of 18 carat gold = 18 × 250 = 4,500 rupees per gram
With this formula, you can remove the right price for gold used in your jewelery.
