3. Changes in UPI transaction rules
A new rule related to UPI payment is going to be implemented from 1 February. The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) has decided to standardize the UPI Transaction ID. Now there will be transactions only with IDs with alphanumeric characters. If there are special characters in the transaction ID of an app, then that payment will be rejected. This change will affect the users of the UPI app including Paytm, PhonePe, Google Pay.
4. Maruti Suzuki’s cars will be expensive
The country’s largest car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki has announced to increase the price of several cars from 1 February. The company has decided to increase the prices of some models by Rs 32,500 due to increase in cost. It includes Alto K10, S-Presso, Celerio, Wagon R, Swift, Desire, Brezza, Ertiga, Ignis, Baleno, Ciaz, XL6, Fronx, Invisto, Gymny and Grand Vitara.
