Under the urban body elections 2025, a total of 109 candidates have nominated for the post of Mayor of 10 Municipal Corporations of Chhattisgarh. At the same time, a total of 816 candidates for the post of Chairman of Nagar Palika Parishad and Nagar Panchayats and a total of 10,776 candidates for the post of councilor of urban bodies have filed nominations till 28 January.
Elections are to be held for 10 Municipal Corporations, 49 Municipal Councils and 114 Nagar Panchayats under the Municipality General Election 2025. The election dates were announced on 20 January by the Chhattisgarh State Election Commission.
