On which day the banks will remain closed in February, its list has come. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has released the bank holiday list for February 2025. There are also some national holidays in February. Banks across the country will remain closed on this day. According to the major festivals of the states, banks will also have a holiday. However, such holidays will not happen in the whole country.
In February next month, banks will remain closed in some states on the occasion of Saraswati Puja, Thai Pusam, Guru Ravidas Jayanti, Louis-Nagai-Ne, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti, State Day, Mahashivratri, Losar etc. Banks across the country are closed on the second and fourth Saturdays of every month.
This day will remain holiday in February
3 February (Monday): This day is Vasant Panchami. Banks will be closed in Tripura on the occasion of Saraswati Puja.
11 February (Tuesday): Banks will remain closed in Tamil Nadu on the occasion of Thai Pusam. This festival is celebrated as a victory over the demon Surpadman of Hindu deity Murugan.
February 12 (Wednesday): This day is Guru Ravidas Jayanti. Banks will remain closed in Himachal Pradesh on this day.
15 February (Saturday): Banks will be closed in Manipur on the occasion of Louis Nagai Ni. This festival is celebrated by the Naga tribes of Manipur. This seed is observed as the beginning of the sowing season.
19 February (Wednesday): This day is the birthday of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Banks in Maharashtra will remain closed on this occasion.
February 20 (Thursday): The state foundation day of Mizoram and Arunachal Pradesh is on this day. On this occasion, banks will be discharged in these two states.
26 February (Wednesday): This day is Mahashivratri. On this occasion, 26 banks will remain closed in most states except Tripura, Tamil Nadu, Sikkim, Assam, Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Bengal, New Delhi, Goa, Bihar and Meghalaya.
Use internet banking
Internet banking is not affected if the bank holiday is there. You can transact money through internet banking. On the other hand, if the cash is needed, then you can withdraw cash from any nearest ATM at any time. ATM facility is also available for 24 hours. Banks’ holidays also have no effect on this. You can also do transactions through UPI.
