Silver medal in mixed doubles to China
In the mixed doubles final, the Guo Jhinwa and Chen Fanghui of China missed the gold medal after losing 21-15, 21-17 to Japan’s Hiroki Midorikawa and Natsu Saito. The match lasted for 34 minutes, in which the Japanese pair showed the best game.
Men singles: Thailand’s Kunlavut won the title
In the men’s singles finals, Thailand’s Kunlavut Vitidsern defeated Host Indonesia’s Jonathan Christie 18-21, 21-17 21-18 in a thrilling three sets and captured the title.
Women’s singles: Thailand’s Ratchanok dominates
Thailand’s Rathanok Intanon won the gold medal in the women’s singles final, defeating South Korea’s Sim You-Jin 21-18, 21-17 in straight sets.
Male couple: Malaysia won gold
In the men’s doubles final, Malaysia’s man Wei Chong and T Kai Vun won the title by defeating Indonesia’s Fajar Alfian and Muhammad Ryan Ardianto 21-11 21-19.
Women’s Couple: South Korea performance
In the women’s doubles final, South Korea’s Kim Haay-Jiyong and Kong Heyong defeated Indonesia’s Parli Tan and Muralitharan Thinah 21-12, 17-21, 21-18 to capture the title. The tournament dominated Thailand and South Korea, while China and host Indonesia failed to win gold medals. The brilliant performance of the players in the competition entertained the audience.
