Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) at Katra, Jammu and Kashmir has announced that the residents of all 41 villages under Katra city and Katra sub-division will be given priority to visit the mother. That is, those who are living here, they will get the darshan of mother immediately against the common people. The Shrine Board has said that local people will have to show their legitimate address for this. According to the board, priority will be given in darshan in the temple of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Ji on showing Aadhaar card as proof of valid address near Durga Bhavan.
The Shrine Board has also stated that the work of laying the foundation of the new exit route to be constructed at a cost of Rs 25 crore has also been started. This exit route will be like a skywalk, aimed at reducing congestion in the building area and the new Vaishnavi building. So that the devotees do not have problems in the pilgrimage and they can be made a pleasant experience. Let us know that on 31 December 2021 and 1 January, 2022, 12 pilgrims were killed and many were injured in a stampede.
Anshul Garg, Chief Executive Officer of Shrine Board, during his address on the occasion of Republic Day, reiterated the unwavering commitment of the Shrine Board for the welfare and facilities of pilgrims coming to the cave temple and said that the Shrine Board of pilgrims coming from the country and abroad Taking up the increasing number of existing infrastructure, more advanced and expanded teenagers are engaged in teenagers. He informed that the number of devotees at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi pilgrimage site has been more than 90 lakhs for the third consecutive year. A similar trend was shown in the journey last year, when the mark of 95 lakhs touched.
Highlighting the importance of the upcoming Delhi-Srinagar train connectivity, Garg said that it would install Katra as an important station and it is expected to further promote the pilgrimage of the holy temple. He said that in view of this development, the Shrine Board has started a passenger facility center at Katra railway station, so that pilgrims will be able to register for the journey from the railway station itself. This will facilitate pilgrims.
