People of Mumbai and Metropolitan region will now have to pay a minimum fare of Rs 31 for traveling by black-yellow taxi. At the same time, the minimum fare will have to be paid by Rs 26 on the journey from Auto Rikshaw. Government officials gave this information. These increased rates will be implemented from February 1. At the same time, the Transport Minister of Maharashtra said that women will continue to get tickets at half price. Also, the provision of free travel for the elderly will continue.
How much rent increased?
In a meeting of Mumbai Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (MMRTA) on Friday, it was approved to increase the fare of taxi and autorixa. Due to this, the new fare will come into effect from February 1. The minimum fare of black-yellow taxi for a distance of one and a half kilometers will now be Rs 32 instead of Rs 28. Whereas for the same distance, the fare of the autorickshaw will now have to pay Rs 26 instead of Rs 23.
Which was approved
A meeting was held on Friday by MMRDA. In this, the authority has decided to increase passenger fares. The proposal was made by Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation i.e. MSRTC. It has been approved. Due to this, auto-taxi fare will become expensive from February 1.
Big shock after assembly elections
