A series of meetings of political parties has started regarding the urban body and three-tier Panchayat elections. On Friday, a round of marathon meetings of BJP took place in the BJP office. After various meetings were held in the state office located at Kushabhau Thakre campus, the State Election Committee meeting was held.
Many topics related to elections were discussed in detail in the meeting. It is being told that the names of the candidates have been finalized in the meeting. The list of BJP candidates will start coming from today. After the meeting, BJP State General Secretary Sanjay Srivastava said that the list of finalized candidates will be declared in the next one or two days. In the meeting held on Friday, Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, state in-charge Nitin Naveen, National Co-Organization General Secretary Shiv Prakash, Regional Organization General Secretary Ajay Jamwal, State President Kiran Singh Dev, State Organization General Secretary Pawan Sai, Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao, Vijay Sharma, National Vice President Dr. (Ms.) Saroj Pandey, Minister Ramvichar Netam, OP Chaudhary, Kedar Kashyap, MP Santosh Pandey, MLA Lata Usendi, Punnulal Mohale, Dharamlal Kaushik, State General Secretary Sanjay Srivastava, Jagdish (Ramu) Rohra, Bharat Lal Verma, Ram Ji Bharti were present.
Congress is only working to spread confusion: Kaushik –
Congress is trying to corner BJP by making OBC reservation an issue in the municipal elections. Terming Congress’s allegations as a gimmick, senior BJP MLA Dharam Lal Kaushik said that this is not a decision of BJP. Elections are being held according to the guidelines of the Supreme Court. Adequate tickets will be given to OBC category. Congress is only working to spread confusion.

After the meeting, BJP State General Secretary Sanjay Srivastava said that all the senior leaders of the division have met in the meeting. All the senior leaders have been consulted separately and the question has been discussed as to what should happen, in what manner? The selection process will move forward based on the detailed discussion on this. Our committees have sent the list of names of Mandal Committee candidates to the District Committee. The entire list is being received from the district committee to the division and from the division to the state level election committee. The lists of candidates for Municipal Corporation, Municipality and Nagar Panchayat have gradually come to the top. Srivastava said that the list of finalized candidates will be declared in the next one or two days. By including all classes, Bharatiya Janata Party works in harmony with the interests of all and all classes. State coordinator of BJP urban body elections, Bhupendra Savnni said that BJP has its own definite candidate selection process and meetings of Mandal Selection Committee, District Selection Committee and Division Selection Committee have been held at all levels.
