This time, a glimpse of the cultural heritage of Chhattisgarh and the Ramnami community will be seen in the Bharat Parv 2025, to be organized at the Red Fort in Delhi on the occasion of Republic Day. The tableau of Chhattisgarh is based on the theme of the Government of India ‘Golden India: Heritage and Development’. The rich and diverse cultural heritage of the state has been shown in the tableau.

Today, Chhattisgarh’s tableau got appreciation from the national media in the press preview organized at National Theatre, Delhi. Through the tableau it has been demonstrated that there is a deep connection between life, nature and spirituality in the cultural heritage of Chhattisgarh. This tableau is presenting the unique cultural identity of the state by depicting the folk life, customs and traditions of Chhattisgarh.

In the front part of the tableau, a man and a woman are shown representing the Ramnami community who worship the formless Ram. The words ‘Ram-Ram’ are inscribed on their bodies and clothes. He is shown reciting Ramcharitmanas. Ghunghrus have been displayed near it, which are used for bhajans. The central part depicts the costumes, jewellery, artefacts and art traditions of tribal culture. In this part, the trumpet instrument and the Salfi tree are prominently shown, which hold an important place in the folk life of Bastar. Peacock has been depicted on the back of the tableau, which is a symbol of the beauty and liveliness of folk life. Through the tableau, Chhattisgarh’s cultural heritage and spirituality related to nature has been deeply highlighted.
