The picture of Mahamaya temple complex in Ratanpur in Bilaspur district is going to change soon. It will be developed on the lines of Kashi Vishwanath Corridor and Mahakaleshwar temple complex of Ujjain. The temple complex will be fully rejuvenated when the 150 crore scheme is implemented by the central agency.

The devotees of the country and the state have a great reverence for the mother Mahamaya sitting in Ratanpur. Keeping in mind the feelings of the people, the temple complex will be rejuvenated at a cost of 150 crores. The purpose of this project is to develop the temple premises on the lines of Kashi and Ujjain. The corridor will include a grand entrance for the devotees, smooth traffic, modern drinking water, toilets, parking and stay of tourists. Along with this, there will be beautification and lighting of the temple complex.

Meeting held under the chairmanship of Union Minister Tokhan Sahu
The project’s plan was discussed in the meeting chaired by Union Minister of State for Urban and Housing Tokhan Sahu. The National Building Construction Corporation (NBCC) will monitor this project. This project will not only give Ratanpur a new identity in religious tourism, but the cultural heritage of Chhattisgarh will also get fame at national and international level.

The history of the city is associated with Raja Ratnadev I

Ashish Singh, president of Maa Mahamaya Temple Trust, said that Mahamaya Temple Corridor will give Chhattisgarh a new identity on the map of religious tourism. This project will not only be a symbol of faith, but will also help in the cultural and economic development of the state.
