As per TRAI directive, Airtel has become the first operator to launch tariff plans exclusively for voice and SMS services without data. TRAI has specifically mandated separate Special Tariff Vouchers (STVs) for voice and SMS services.
Airtel has removed data benefits from its two plans. This means that now you will not get internet in both these plans. Airtel has removed internet benefits from two plans. Their price is Rs 509 and Rs 1999.
Rs 509 plan
Unlimited local and roaming calls and 900 SMS are available in the Rs 509 plan, whose validity is 84 days or 3 months. If you need data, there is a plan of Rs 569, which offers 6GB data and the same benefits.
Rs 1999 plan
Unlimited local and roaming calls and 3600 SMS are available in the Rs 1999 plan, whose validity is 365 days or 1 year. Earlier this plan included 24GB data, but now if you need additional data, then its price is Rs 2249.
The company said that after the SMS limit is reached, Rs 1 for local and Rs 1.5 for STD will be charged per SMS. Other benefits include Airtel Xstream app, Apollo 24|7 Circle membership and free Hello Tunes.
