Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel has congratulated the people of the state for 100 percent achievement in sickle cell screening. It is noteworthy that Madhya Pradesh has so far achieved success in achieving the annual target by screening a total of 90 lakh 98 thousand 902 people for sickle cell. Madhya Pradesh has achieved first position in the country by distributing 53 lakh 87 thousand 892 sickle cell cards.
Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel said that it is a matter of great joy and pride that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has taken the pledge to eradicate sickle cell from the land of Madhya Pradesh itself. The state government is also committed to eradicate sickle cell by the year 2047. He has called upon the people of the state to come forward for efforts to eradicate sickle cell. Actively participate in making the state healthy and strong by supporting awareness of sickle cell.
Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel said that more than 90 lakh sickle cell screenings have been done so far in the state, which is the result of the united and singular efforts of the concerned departments. He has congratulated the supporting officers-employees, voluntary organizations and field workers for this achievement.
