Chhattisgarh government will give a lump sum amount to the farmers till February 15, the difference in the price of paddy purchase. Its decision has been taken in the cabinet meeting today. About 27 lakh farmers of the state will benefit from this. Chief Minister Sai said this while addressing the foundation stone laying ceremony for the inauguration of development works at Sarangarh-Bilaigarh district headquarters today. On this occasion, he also announced the name of Irrigation Electric Pump Assistance Scheme for farmers as Dr. Khubchand Baghel Kisan Electricity Assistance Scheme. The Chief Minister gifted development works worth Rs 137.41 crore to Sarangarh-Bilaigarh district, which included inauguration of 84 works worth Rs 47.87 crore and bhoomi pujan work worth Rs 89.54 crore.
Chief Minister Sai performed the bhoomi pujan of the construction of the district hospital in Sarangarh at a cost of Rs 38 crore and the construction work of the joint district office building to be built at a cost of Rs 18.75 crore.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Sai said allotment of land for setting up industries in Sarangarh-Bilaigarh, widening of Sarangarh main road at a cost of Rs. 1.5 crore, 50 seater hostel building in Sariya, construction of high level rest house building in Sarangarh, community setting of Primary Health Center of Kosir. Also announced upgrades to the health centre. The Chief Minister inspected the departmental stalls and provided checks and materials to the beneficiaries for assistance under various schemes of the government.
Chief Minister Sai said in his address that Sarangarh has been my workplace for 20 years. Now as the Chief Minister, he is continuously working to fulfill the responsibility of development of Chhattisgarh including Sarangarh-Bilaigarh. In the last one year, we have worked to fulfill the guarantee of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. There has been a rise in the construction of houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Approval for 18 lakh houses has been given in the first cabinet meeting. In the first phase, approval was given for construction of 8.47 lakh houses. The houses of many of these beneficiaries have been completed and now they are entering the house. On the arrival of Union Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan to Chhattisgarh, he has approved 3 lakh 88 thousand additional houses. In the coming month of April, the state will get approval for 3 lakh more houses. Chief Minister Sai said that the survey work of Awas Plus has also been started in the state. The scope of eligibility for PM Awas has been expanded. Now those who have a two-wheeler, 2.5 acres of irrigated land or 5 acres of non-irrigated land, and monthly income up to Rs 15 thousand will also get housing. An online app has been launched to simplify the process of housing approval. With this, any person can apply while sitting at home. The state government is giving an amount of one thousand rupees per month to mothers and sisters under Mahtari Vandan Yojana. He said that the mothers and sisters of Dansara of Sarangarh are building Ram temple with this amount.
The Chief Minister said that 5 lakh 62 thousand landless agricultural workers will be benefited under the Pandit Deendayal Landless Agricultural Workers Scheme in the state. Prime Minister Modi provided ownership cards to 65 lakh villagers of 50 thousand villages across the country. Due to this, people living in populated lands in rural areas for many generations are getting rights letters. Ownership cards have been distributed to 61 thousand people in ten districts of Chhattisgarh. PSC is working to punish the culprits of the scam. With this, the youth of the state have regained confidence in the examination system.
Chief Minister Sai said that after 144 years, there is a coincidence of complete Mahakumbh. A huge Chhattisgarh pavilion has been built on four and a half acres in Prayagraj Mahakumbh for the devotees of Chhattisgarh. Here there is provision for free food and accommodation for the residents of Chhattisgarh. Chief Minister Sai invited the people of the district to participate in the Mahakumbh.
Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao said that we are continuously working to fulfill the guarantee of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The state government is working to speed up development works from village to city. Paddy is being purchased for Rs 3100. Money for Mahtari Vandan is being received every month. Housing construction is going on at a rapid pace. Farmers have been given outstanding bonus of 2 years.
Revenue Minister Tankram Verma said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, development work is being done continuously in the last one year. The program was also addressed by MP Radheshyam Rathiya and Mrs. Kamlesh Jangade. On this occasion, MLA Sarangarh Smt. North Ganpat Jangade, MLA Bilaigarh Smt. Kavita Pran Lahare, former MLA Shamsher Singh, Smt. Kerabai Manhar, Sukamda Jolhe, Jyoti Patel, Jagannath Panigrahi and other public representatives were present in large numbers.
