The State Election Commission has announced the dates of Municipal Corporation, Municipality and three-tier Panchayat elections. Municipal body elections will be held from February 11 while counting of votes will be done on February 15. Urban bodies will be in one phase. Elections in rural areas will be held in three phases, in rural areas voting will be held on February 17, 20 and 23.

The nomination process for urban body elections will start from January 22. The last date for withdrawal of nomination is January 31. Voting will take place on February 11, and counting will be done on February 15.
panchayat elections
Panchayat elections will be held in three phases. Nomination for this will start from January 27. Voting will take place on February 17, February 20, and February 23.
A press conference has been organized at the office located in New Raipur at 3 pm. During this time, the Commission has completed the preparations for the elections, and the code of conduct has come into effect by January 20. There will be no impact on board and pre-board examinations due to elections.
After a meeting with the Chief Minister, DGP, and senior officials of various departments, the State Election Commission had reviewed the preparedness of the Collectors and SPs of the districts. The Commission stressed on ensuring secure and transparent elections.
