There has been a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas after a long if-but. PM Benjamin Netanyahu has approved the ceasefire deal and now it will be passed by the cabinet as well. A situation of confusion had arisen in this matter on Thursday, when Netanyahu said that the ceasefire has not happened yet. He had accused Hamas of backing out from some conditions at the last moment, but now good news has come. It is believed that the ceasefire agreement between Hamas and Israel will come into force. Now this proposal will also be placed in the cabinet. If this ceasefire comes into effect, there will be peace in the Middle East after a long time. Let us know what is included in the ceasefire deal between Hamas and Israel…
– The initial ceasefire will be for 6 weeks. During this period, Israeli forces will withdraw from Central Gaza. Apart from this, there will be a return of Palestinians to Northern Gaza.
– Under this deal, 600 trucks carrying humanitarian aid materials will be given permission to enter Gaza. Of these, 50 trucks will have fuel.
– Hamas still has 33 people hostage. These also include women and children. Hamas says it will release three people every week under the ceasefire deal.
– Israel has agreed to release 30 Palestinian prisoners in exchange for one of its citizens.
– The first phase of ceasefire will be for 6 weeks i.e. 42 days. During this period, Hamas has agreed to release three Israelis every week. Israel will release 90 Palestinians in a week.
– Talks on the second phase of ceasefire will start after the 16th day of the first round. It will be decided how the remaining people will be left behind. Hamas says that it will release all the hostages only when every Israeli soldier leaves Gaza.
– In the third phase, all the dead bodies will also be returned. Apart from this, the reconstruction process will be started in Gaza. In this way the ceasefire deal will be completed in three rounds.
nothing but debris in the house
The war that has been going on for one and a half years between Hamas and Israel is now on the verge of ending. Millions of displaced Gaza residents are ready to return to their homes. But when they reach their homes, what will they find except debris and black spots of missiles and gunpowder on the houses. In fact, Palestinians in Gaza Strip are eager to leave the tent camps and return to their homes.
Israeli bombing and ground operations have turned entire neighborhoods in many cities into debris-filled wastelands, with blackened shells of buildings and piles of debris stretching in every direction. The main roads of Gaza have been dug up. Water and electricity infrastructure have been destroyed. Most of the hospitals are now destitute. It is not clear when or if any reconstruction will be done here?
Gaza will be rebuilt in 350 years
The agreement is being reached for the release of hostages and a phased ceasefire by Hamas-led militants. The United Nations says that if the blockade continues, reconstruction could take more than 350 years. More than two-thirds of homes and infrastructure have been destroyed. The damage will be assessed only after the fighting is over. The most destroyed part of Gaza, in the north, has been sealed off by Israeli forces in an operation launched in early October. People were displaced on a large scale.
50 thousand people died in Israel-Hamas war
The current war started with the Hamas attack on Israel on October 7, 2023, in which about twelve hundred people were killed. After that, Israel’s attack on Gaza in the name of replying to Hamas was considered a natural reaction. But fifteen months have passed since then and Israel’s attack on Gaza continues.
According to one figure, about fifty thousand people have been killed so far in the Israeli attack. More than two million people have been displaced in Gaza. Israel says that it will end the terrorism of Hamas. But it is a matter of investigation as to how many members of Hamas were killed and how many civilians lost their lives in the Israeli attack.
A large number of children and women died in the war
It can be estimated from this that among the common people killed in this war, a large number were children and women, who had nothing to do with the war. During the attack on Gaza, even hospitals, schools and places to take shelter from the attack were not spared. It was not considered necessary to take any account of international rules and regulations regarding war. For all this, Israel was accused of genocide and its Prime Minister was also accused of war crimes.
Efforts were being made at various levels including the United Nations to end the war between Israel and Hamas, but no positive results were being achieved. Now, after such a long time, if an agreement has been reached between the two sides on the ceasefire, then efforts should be made to ensure that no obstacles are created in it, its implementation should also be ensured and peace should be maintained continuously.
Such a situation should not arise again when on one hand there is a declaration of agreement on ceasefire and on the other hand attacks and killing of people continue. It is an established fact that the solution to any problem or dispute cannot be an endless war. It is possible that this ceasefire may not completely end the long-standing bitterness between Israel and Palestine, but the solution to any complex issue ultimately lies through dialogue.
