Pakistan’s former PM Imran Khan sentenced to 14 years in jail, wife also sentenced to 7 years

Former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan has been sentenced to 14 years in prison in a corruption case. The court sentenced Bushra Bibi to seven years in prison and also fined Khan 1 million Pakistani rupees and her husband 500,000 Pakistani rupees. Pakistan’s National Accountability Bureau (NAB) registered a case against Khan, 72-year-old Bibi, 50-year-old and six others in December 2023. In this he was accused of causing a loss of 190 million pounds (50 billion Pakistani rupees) to the national exchequer.

Imran Khan denies the allegations
