At the rate of lifetime motor vehicle tax payable by the state government on such non-transport and light transport vehicles, which are subject to lifetime motor vehicle tax and which are sold in the Ujjain Vikramotsav Trade Fair and Gwalior Trade Fair during the period of year 2024-25. 50 percent discount has been given. This exemption is given with prescribed conditions.
Exemption to such non-transport vehicles (motorcycle, motor car, omnibus for personal use) and light transport vehicles will be given only on permanent registration of the vehicles sold in the Regional Transport Office, Ujjain/Gwalior. Automobile traders coming from outside Ujjain/Gwalior will be allowed to sell vehicles only after obtaining business certificate from the Regional Transport Office Ujjain/Gwalior and ensuring their physical presence in the fair premises at these places.
Which vehicles will get exemption
It has been told in the order that this exemption will be applicable only to those vehicles whose permanent registration will be done from the Regional Transport Office, Gwalior. Automobile traders outside Gwalior will be able to sell vehicles only after obtaining business certificate from the Regional Transport Office, Gwalior and ensuring their presence in the fair. This decision of the government will provide great relief to those people who are planning to buy a car.
Discounts will be available in Ujjain fair also
Apart from Gwalior, this facility will also be available in Vikram Mela of Ujjain. According to Madhya Pradesh Public Relations Department, it has been decided to give 50 percent discount in the lifetime motor vehicle tax rate on the sale of vehicles in the Ujjain Vikramotsav Trade Fair 2024-25.
The fair has started from 25th December
Gwalior Trade Fair has started from 25th December. This fair will run for two months i.e. till 25th February. During this period, those who buy a vehicle from the fair will get 50 percent rebate in vehicle purchase tax. Let us tell you that Gwalior Trade Fair is famous across the country.
