The Gwalior unit of the Economic Offenses Wing of Madhya Pradesh Government, which is working on the policy of zero tolerance on corruption, has taken a major action. EOW has registered a crime against Professor Avinash Tiwari, the VC i.e. Vice Chancellor of Jiwaji University. Apart from Professor Tiwari, there are 17 other professors against whom a case has also been registered.
Actually, this case is related to a fake college, let us tell you that Jiwaji University has been quite famous in giving affiliation to colleges, many times there have been complaints that the inspection team of the university is negligent in verifying the documents in the application for affiliation of colleges. . In this case, employee leaders had also made allegations of corruption, and in this sequence, EOW has now registered a case against a total of 18 professors.
Complaint filed against a college in Morena in EOW
It is noteworthy that an applicant, Arun Kumar Sharma, resident of Durga Colony, Murar Gwalior, had complained to the Economic Offenses Cell, Gwalior, against the director of Shivshakti Mahavidyalaya, Village Jhundpura Tehsil, Sabalgarh District, Morena. It was alleged in the complaint that his college was not given affiliation on the basis of fake documents. Has been given. This case was investigated by the Economic Offenses Wing unit, Gwalior. On the basis of evidence obtained after investigation, it was found that Raghuraj Singh Jadaun, the director of Shivshakti Mahavidyalaya, Village Jhundpura, along with other accused, prepared forged documents on the basis of which the recognition and approval of the college was denied. By obtaining affiliation and showing fake admission of students, they obtained benefits of scholarship and other items and caused financial loss to the government.
Fraud in giving affiliation to college caught in investigation
Investigation revealed that Dr. APS Chauhan, Dr. A., members of the committee formed by Jiwaji University to inspect the college. Of. Halve, Dr. S. Of. Gupta, Dr. S. Of. Singh, Dr. C.P. Shinde, Dr. R.A. Sharma Professor Avinash Tiwari (present Vice Chancellor) Dr. K.S. Thakur, Jyoti Prasad, Dr. Navneet Garud, Dr. Sapan Patel, Dr. S.K. Dwivedi, Dr. Hemant Sharma, Dr. Radha Tomar, Dr. R.P. Pandey, Dr. M.K. Gupta, Dr. Nimisha Jadaun, Dr. Suresh Sachdeva, Dr. Meena Srivastava helped in getting the affiliation of the said college by preparing fraudulent inspection report on false grounds by getting undue benefits i.e. by corruption.
EOW made 18 professors including VC accused, crime registered
Since the death of one member of the investigation team, Dr. APS Chauhan, the rest except Dr. A.K. Halve, Dr. S. Of. Gupta, Dr. S. Of. Singh, Dr. C.P. Shinde, Dr. R.A. Sharma Professor Avinash Tiwari, Dr. K.S. Thakur, Jyoti Prasad, Dr. Navneet Garud, Dr. Sapan Patel, Dr. S.K. Dwivedi, Dr. Hemant Sharma, Dr. Radha Tomar, Dr. R.P. Pandey, Dr. M.K. Crime has been registered against Gupta, Dr. Nimisha Jadaun, Dr. Suresh Sachdeva, Dr. Meena Srivastava and others under sections 420, 409, 467, 468, 120B of IPC and section of Prevention of Corruption Act 1988 (Amendment Act 2018).
