ICC Champions Trophy 2025 South Africa’s team has also been announced. Veteran fast bowlers Lungi Ngidi and Enrique Norkhia have also been included in the team. At the same time, the captaincy of the team is still in the hands of Temba Bavuma. Cricket South Africa has announced the 15-member squad on Monday 13 January. Ngidi and Norkhia, who were out of the team for a long time due to injury, are going to play in this mega tournament. Apart from these two fast bowlers, all-rounders Wiaan Mulder and Keshav Maharaj have also returned to the ODI team, who could not play in the last ODI series against Pakistan.

Since then he has not been able to play cricket for South Africa. That tournament was great for Norkhia. He had taken 15 wickets in nine matches. He was scheduled to play in the three-match ODI series against Pakistan, but was ruled out of the series due to a fracture in his toe. However, now he is fully fit and is going to play in the Champions Trophy. As for Ngidi, he missed the home summer season for South Africa due to a groin injury in November. Gerald Coetzee is still injured.

South Africa is scheduled to begin its ICC Championship 2025 campaign on 21 February. South Africa’s first match is with Afghanistan in Karachi. Apart from this, the team also has to play against England and Australia. Both these teams are in Group B along with South Africa and Afghanistan.
South Africa’s team is as follows

Temba Bavuma (captain), Tony DiGeorge, Marco Jansen, Heinrich Klaasen, Keshav Maharaj, Aiden Markram, David Miller, Wiaan Mulder, Lungi Ngidi, Enrique Norkhia, Kagiso Rabada, Ryan Rickelton, Tabraiz Shamsi, Tristan Stubbs and Rassie van der Dussen.
