On the auspicious occasion of Makar Sankranti, the Tatapani Mahotsav to be held in Balrampur-Ramanujganj district of Chhattisgarh will grace the evening with Bollywood, Chollywood and Bhojpuri artists. To ensure that the event remains clean, strict action will be taken against anyone bringing liquor to the venue or being caught in an intoxicated state.

On the auspicious occasion of Makar Sankranti, preparations are in full swing for the Tatapani Mahotsav to be held in Balrampur-Ramanujganj district of Chhattisgarh. This three-day fair, which will run from 14 to 16 January, will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai. Lakhs of devotees and tourists will participate in this festival along with religious, cultural and social activities.

Regarding the festival, Collector Rajendra Katra told in the press conference that all the preparations for security and parking have been completed. There will also be a mass marriage of 300 couples in the festival. The Chief Minister and Ministers of Chhattisgarh will bless the newlyweds. At the same time, there will also be a chance to enjoy stalls of government schemes, handicrafts exhibition and local cuisine.

The main attraction in this three-day long festival will be Chhattisgarhi, Bollywood and Bhojpuri music programs, in which there will be special performances by Bollywood singer and music director Mithun Sharma, Bhojpuri actress Akshara Singh, and Garima Diwakar. School children and local artists will also be given a chance to showcase their art.

Superintendent of Police Vaibhav Banker said that strict security arrangements have been made for the event. Special vigil will be kept on those who come under the influence of alcohol and drive. During the press conference, District Panchayat CEO Raina Jamil also gave information about the event.
