To further strengthen the historical, cultural and economic ties between India and Nepal, there is a need for better ‘connectivity’ between the two countries. National President of Nepal-India Cooperation Forum Ashok Kumar Vaidya said this. He said that the expansion of rail and road networks will not only boost trade and education, but will also deepen religious and cultural relations. He said that there is a need to give a new direction to the ancient relations between Nepal and India.
Ashok Vaidya said that the relations between India and Nepal have remained unbroken since Treta Yuga till now. From the marriage of Lord Ram and Mother Sita to the common heritage of Kashi Vishwanath, Lord Buddha, Mahavir and Himalaya-Ganga, both the countries have been culturally linked together. He stressed on the development of Ramayana Circuit, Buddha Circuit and Jain Circuit between Nepal and India, which can give a new direction to religious tourism.
